Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to style a shoot for Presence Magazine featuring Kimbra.  Beautiful, self assured and encompassing a truly eclectic sense of style it was amazing to work with someone with such a wonderful character and extraordinary talent.  I hope you enjoy the fruits of our efforts.

Magpie of Metropolis

After doing a shoot with a friend of mine and trying to source metallic garments and accessories, my magpie eyes have been picking up shiny things everywhere!  It starts with a nail polish . . 

 . .  develops into a jewellery obsession . . .

 . . . and from the crystalline cocoon emerges a fine metallic figure.

FASH-TIONE

Ahhh! (Excited, not scared or angry ahh).


Not only have I been invited to one, no no, but four fashion week shows at New Zealand Fashion week this year.  I mean not for it to sound gloaty but to convey that I'm a) ecstatically surprised and b)EXTREMELY EXCITED (hence caps). 
Bring on the Fash-tione! Bisous galore, champagne, stupidly high heels and sheer dresses on freezing cold Auckland days.

Making of a shade

Trawling the internet on a lazy Saturday afternoon I found this on the New Zealand Design Blog (which is fantastic for any design related perusing).  My favourite part is when he places a light beside the emptied hull of the log to see how thinly he needs to carve it out.

Beautiful rest

I've been doing shoots like a mad man with some amazing photographers, make up artists, and hair stylists of late and will have some beautiful pictures to post soon.  For now, it's time to have a little rest before getting back into the thick of it. Yeow! x
